Edgemere Elementary School; T-12 to T-8 Lighting Conversion o Replace existing 34 watt T-12 lamps with new 25 watt T-8 lamps & new ballast • Improved lighting levels – brighter & more even light distribution • Lower cost vs. new fixture (under $20 retrofit per fixture) • Energy savings – payback just under 4 years 10

ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS • Installation of an Energy Management System at forty four (44) elementary and middle school campuses has commenced. • PC Automated Logic began installation of the system on June 10, 2009. • Controlling major HVAC equipment – monitor temperatures in each campus’ TIS main server room – monitor cafeteria’s walk-in freezer and refrigerator 12
