Workshop Quantum Matter and Quantum Devices From Aprli

Workshop "Quantum Matter and Quantum Devices" From Aprli, 29 th till May, 1 st the first Workshop "Quantum Matter and Quantum Devices" was held in Delft (Netherlands), where over 50 leading scientists, postdocs and graduate students were gathered from the laboratories of MIPT Interdisciplinary Center for Basic Research and Delft Technical University. The aim of the workshop was to give the scientists from different countries the unique opportunity to communicate and share ideas. The delegation from MIPT were about 30 people, from students up to the heads of the laboratories. During 3 days there were given about 20 oral half-hour talks on the latest achievements in various topics of physics and technology of nanostructures, and a couple of educational lectures for young scholars. There was also a tour across the research laboratories of TU Delft and its center for nanofabrication facility. On the last day of the workshop there was a huge poster session. The organizers of the event have done their best so that the workshop was useful and interesting for us, and they succeeded in it without any doubt. We hope such joint workshops will become a well-established tradition and will further be carried out at MIPT strengthening its international reputation.
