Callum • Callum is determined to go to university to follow a course linked to his interest in digital forensics. Abertay Uni asks for 4 Bs - including a literate subject (e. g. Eng or History) and a technical subject (e. g. Computing, Maths or Physics). His current achievement levels in both areas does not support this. • He will choose his subjects for the next three years based on: Ø current academic achievement. Ø the latest entrance information from different colleges and universities. Ø consideration of an alternative direction.

What happens next? • Complete and return option sheets to Guidance Teacher • Guidance Teachers will see pupils individually if there any issues or concerns (e. g. not following a broad curriculum) • Senior staff will start preparing the timetable – pupils and parents will be contacted if there any problems (e. g. too many or too few pupils wanting to take particular courses or if certain combinations of subjects cannot run) • June 2013 – start of new S. 3 courses
