VI. NEW PTSA COMMITTEE REFLECTIONS PROGRAM—Marta Thompson & April Gray -WLMS will enter in 2 categories: Photography and visual arts. - The theme this year is "Beauty is. . . " - Participants can submit multiple entries. - Entries due: Friday Dec. 11, 2009 to Ms. Gray. -The top 4 entries in each category will be selected. -They will compete in a county wide competition. -Winners of those will compete at a state wide level. - Assistance needed with judging—Contact Ms. Gray or Marta Thompson (410 772 -0069). - Contest will be announced this week.
VI. NEW PTSA COMMITTEE ADDITIONAL IDEAS—La. Treya Manning Guest speakers from the community who could come in and talk about entrepreneurship. § Police officers come in and talk about safety at school and home. § A mentorship level or beginning a girls/boys outreach program that builds self esteem in our children. § Get more father's involved in the school. How about and dad's day where they come in and assist in the classrooms? §
