We have the knowledge to bringing high-tech to you and to make the usage of Ideal Standard products much more comfortable. The choice of a name of a new product is of course always a key issue. The name should cover a lot of meanings, should easily be remembered and identical in different languages. After looking at different ideas and spending some time on this issue, we have selected the name „click cartridge“. There can of course be a lot of arguments for and against this name. In the following I would like to point out the strongest arguments for this name: 1. Click cartridge is a word that can easily be remembered 2. With the same meaning in different languages 3. The „click“ sound is related to the WSVC function and people can hear „click“ when they override the handle to get the full flow rate. 4. Click is the sound when you fasten your safety belt. 5. Click also means : C – comfort L – long life I – intelligence C – control (of water temperature and water demand) K – know how Wittlich 11. 02. 03 L. Lazarov

Hot Water Temperature Control With the Improved HWTC function integrated in the New CLICK cartridge, we are giving you the possibility to limit or control the temperature of the hot water by restricting the movement of the lever. At position 0 the handle will have a full 60 degree movement and the temperature of the hot water will be at Maximum. By simply lifting and repositioning the red plastic ring towards position 7 the lever movement and hot water temperature will reduce. Wittlich 11. 02. 03 L. Lazarov

• In order to adjust the temperature limitation the two snap parts of the ECO function (if installed) must be removed. • Tilt up part B from the back side to the front with your hand remove towards the top together with part A. (See illustration opposite). • Now the colored ring below (red at present) is freely accessible. • Bring the pivot of the cartridge in the middle position (points to the front screw - see C) and open it halfway (the pivot points to the top – see D). • Only in this position is it possible to lift, turn and thus adjust the temperature limiter without effort. • Pull up the temperature limiter with your fingernail, turn counter-clockwise (left) and press down in the desired position. Apart from the position 0, the cartridge offers 7 further positions of adjustment, which are visible. The figures are supports for a quick adjustment of the position and can be taken from the table below. The temperature Ring for temperature limitations mentioned below depend on the local adjustment conditions of the domestic water supply and can consequently differ from the table results. • Water Saving Variable Control • With the new WSVC function we are giving you the choice to manage water supply from the fitting • With the new WSVC function you can save energy • Due to the special design and position of the WSVC function, by simply lifting the lever you can get any water supply between 50% and 100%( see illustration) • The new WS VC function is easily removable, if you do not wish to utilise this feature • The new WSVC function can be added later to the new "CLICK" cartridge. To wash your hands, teeth, drink water or just to wash something you normally do not need warm (mixed ) water. But in your daily life you do not realize, that opening your SL mixer in the middle position of the handle gives you mixed water. Using more hot water directly affects your budget. Thinking of your comfort and pleasure I/S has developed it’s new generation Eco cartridge which, due to the special design of the ceramic discs (picture 2) in middle position, gives you cold water (see picture) and has a wider comfort zone The new ECO cartridge is interchangeable with the present generation ECO cartridge and also with the new “CLICK” cartridge. The new ECO cartridge was developed to give you the same pleasure and comfort as “CLICK” cartridge. The working zone is increased from 90° to 120° and is suitable for use of WSVC function.

The Ideal Standard CLICK- Eco cartridge and all other Eco cartridges were developed to give you cold water in the middle position of the handle, but are also able to reach the same maximum hot water temperature as the normal CLICK cartridge. In order to protect you and help you save energy we have developed the Eco cartridge with hot water temperature control functions. The attached tables on the left side illustrate very well why HWTC function is needed.

Grohe restricts the possibility to get a full flow rate until the Eco function is activated • The consumer can easily get 50% or 100% flow rate by simply lifting and opening the lever. • The new „WS“ function can be added later as option • HANSA • This is an integral part of the cartridge. Even if you have a fitting in your home that is more than 20 years old (Ceramix) or you have Trias, Idyll, Cerasprint or Cerafit fittings, but you want to have all the new and improved benefits, then just change the cartridge - 3 simple steps: - Remove the handle and the cartridge cover; - undo the screws with a usual screw driver; - take out the old cartridge and replace it by the new "CLICK" cartridge There is no need to install a new fitting.

The water passes through a special housing called "Stadium"(1) of the ceramic disc without touching any plastic material or O-rings in the movable ceramic disc area (2).
