Graduation Requirements
What are the requirements for the Future Ready Core diploma?
All students will need to: Achieve 28 credits in the following areas:
English III English IV
Earth/Environmental Science Biology Physical Science or Chemistry or Physics
World History Civics and Economics U. S. History
Health/Physical Education
Second Language is NOT required for Future Ready Core diploma nor graduation BUT is required for entrance into 4 year colleges/universities.
2 Elective Credits in any combination: Career and Technical Education Arts Education Second Language
In addition to 28 credits, students must also pass the following requirements:
Must pass the NC Graduation Project.
Students can begin brainstorming ideas for their project, but the actual process takes place during the senior year.
Students should try to think of a project that would be fun, but also something that they don't already know how to do.
