God didn’t choose us because we’re worthy w 1 Cor. 1: 27 -28 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. [28] He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things--and the things that are not--to nullify the things that are, w There is no place on earth worthy for Him w Romans 3: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, w Eccles. 7: 20 There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins.

Both are places God chose for the birth of His Son w The birth of Christ was spiritual w Matthew 1: 20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. w Luke 1: 35 The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.

w The Holy Spirit wants to birth Christ in our hearts w John 3: 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. w John 1: 11 -13 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. [12] Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God-- [13] children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. w The birth of Christ made all the difference in the stable as well in our lives! w 2 Cor. 5: 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ,

Both are places from which God has chosen to reveal His Son w The stable revealed Jesus to the shepherds and the magi w We will reveal Jesus to the world! w Galatians 1: 15 -16 But …. God, who set me apart from birth and called me by his grace, was pleased [16] to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles…

Both are places through which God wants to reach a lost world w The stable was the gateway of God to reach the world w Amazing that God would choose a stable, you and me! w The focus of the attention should be the baby, not the stable

Both places were immortalized because Jesus entered! world…. w The most famous stable in the w Immortality is the result of having Jesus born in your heart… w Col. 1: 27 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. w Will you welcome Him in your heart today? w John 1: 12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to
