What is “I see”? The objective of this project was to get acquainted with the specific way of working at Avans School of International Studies. The educational model is based on PBL: Problem Based Learning and Project Based Learning. There was a series of seminars and lectures on distribution indicators and consumer behaviour.
What is PBL? PBL is problem-based learning. It’s a method of teaching in which students learn about a subject through the experience of problem solving. Students have to tackle a problem in group through brainstorming, debating and self-studying.

1 st day • Lecture about PBL • The first seminar There we were informed of our case. We learnt the state of affair of “our” company Polar Ice which produces icecream. It is in a deep crisis.
2 nd day • Lecture about market indicators • Tutor group. We had to answer the question “How to increase the amount of sales? ” • At home we were to develop the ideas of rebranding and changing the marketing strategy of Polar Ice.
3 rd day • • • Lecture “Presentation skills” Lecture “Consumers’ behaviour” Tutor group. That time we were talking about consumers. We wanted to know what influences the consumers more?
4 th day • • Final presentations Evaluation Handing out certificates Closing up session
