Welcome to YU 1 AVA home page Radio club ”Zemun” PPS Ugrinovci QTH locator KN 04 CV 1
Introduction n n Radio club “Zemun” exist over 50 years. In the year 1989. Several people founded radio section YU 1 AVA, in little village named Ugrinovci. Our QTH locator is KN 04 CV, DXCC country is Yugoslavia, CQ zone 15 and ITU 28. 2
Who we are? ? n As you see before, we are located in small village named Ugrinovci (10. 000 inhabitants). We are situated abt. 20 km west of Belgrade, a capital city of Serbia and Yugoslavia. Most people work and go to school in Belgrade. Also, we are close to International Airport Belgrade, and “border” between YU 1 (Serbia) and YU 7 (Vojvodina) is just 500 m out of our QTH. 3
Our members n n As any other ham organization, we have our chief. It is Milorad Balesevic YU 1 GU, technician. He confirmed more than 280 DXCC, and over 20 years operator. Zrinko Zibert 4 N 1 DX is one of young people from Radio club who is future of YU HAM activity. He is very good HF/VHF operator, with nice results in domestic and WW contests. Jovan Petrovic YT 1 WP is a nice man with good italiano and russian language. Several Italians called him “professore d’ Italiano… … Dragan Djekanovic YU 1 GE was one of our founder. At the moment he is not too active but he help us when we need him. 4
Our members II n n Rest of our members don’t have their call sign. Sava Tepsic (ex YU 1 OLS) is older Ham radioamateur. With several people in Yugoslavia he made first experiments with SSTV. He is not active operator, but he help when we have a problems with antennas, electricity… Sinisa and Srecko Tepsic are Sava’s sons. They continue ham tradition in his family. Sinisa is also one of YU ARDF TEAM. He has several nice places in Yugoslavia in ARDF. Zlatko Stojic is also young student who like HAM radio, and he help also in Radio section. 5
Our equipment were stolen… n In october 1999. our equipment were stolen, HF Yaesu FT 101 ZD, HF YAESU FT DX 400, VHF YAESU FT 221 RD and HF receiver BC 320 (WW II). After several months we found FT 101 ZD and BC receiver under local bridge in water. Unfortunately, BC was total damaged but we tried to repaire FT 101 ZD because our HF activity was on that transceiver. Milorad YU 1 GU made everything what he know, and now FT 101 ZD work on 80 and 40 m. Very soon in the future we will be active again in all bands, so…see you on the air… 6
YZ 75 AVA activity … n n In July 1999. We used a special callsign YZ 75 AVA to celebrate 75 years of HAM radio activity in Yugoslavia. We made about 1. 200 QSO’s, from 80 to 2 m. All qso’s are confirmed via bureau, and Gena UX 5 UO printed QSL’s for this special activity. An image of YZ 75 AVA qsl card, and some photos and qsl’s you can find in our photo album. 7
Antenna’s system, Links Antenna’system n n For 80 m we use a dipole antenna , NE – SW. For 40 m we use two antennas, similar 2 el wire YAGIs , one for UA/JA/VK/ZL (45 º) and one for north/central America and Europe (300 º). 20/15/10 m are covered with 4 el. Tribander yagi. For 2 m we have 9 el.
