School Hours 8: 40 -9: 00 Arrive 9: 00 School Begins 12: 10 Lunch 3: 35 Dismissal
School Bus v. Each bus rider has a bus tag. v. If your child is going home with a friend, please send notes in from both parents. v. If your child needs to leave early, notify me and/or the office.
Lunch You may join your child for lunch at 12: 10. Please call the office to choose your lunch or send a note in the morning. Money may be placed on our computerized debit system. Checks should be made payable to CYSD. Breakfast is 80¢ Lunch is $1. 70 Milk is 55¢ Adult lunch is $3. 25
Birthdays You may celebrate your child’s birthday by sending in a special snack. Please have the snack cut individually so the children may eat it during Snack Time or Lunch Time Please be aware of allergies and special diet restrictions. Invitations to private parties will not be distributed in the classroom.
Personal Hygiene Please be sure your child is able to take care of him or herself. They should be able to wash their hands after using the bathroom and using tissues. Please practice zipping, tying, and buttoning clothing so your child can be independent.

Classroom Wiki Page -Go to our classroom website -Click on the link “Classroom Wiki” -Create a user name and password -Request to join the space -I will give you permission to access the space as soon as possible -Visit our classroom website and wiki as often as possible to view classroom happenings and see what your child is learning and doing! -Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions or concerns!
Our Class Bear Pennsy, our class bear will visit with each family in our class. The children will take pictures of Pennsy with their family. The student will write about what they did with Pennsy and place it on his website found on our class page.
Technology in the Classroom Technology plays an important part in our classroom. The children will use the Smart Board classroom computers, laptop cart, and digital cameras. Projects will be sent home with your child to view and discuss, or posted on our classroom website. We will be sending home a class bear and camera for our class blog and podcasts.
School Folder Each child will receive a school folder. All important papers and notes will be placed inside. Please check your child’s folder each day. Any messages for me (or the office) should be placed inside the folder.
Excuse Cards When your child is sick, please call the school and leave a message. When your child returns to school, you should complete a blue Excuse Card and place it in the folder. If you are planning an Educational Trip, forms are available in the office.
Rest Time Each afternoon we will have a short rest time. Please send in a towel or small blanket for your child’s mat. It will be sent home Friday to be washed.
Volunteering at School We are always happy to have volunteers in our classrooms. Please complete the necessary clearance forms before you plan on volunteering.
