CARE annual meeting 05 • Will be held at CERN 23 to 25 Nov. 05 – http: //hep-lab. web. cern. ch/HEP-lab/CARE 05/JRANA. htm • Is mandatory for WP leader, task leaders are also invited – This meeting will be observed by officials from Brussels ( and lab directors) – We have an excellent reputation in EC, it should remain so! – FP 7 will start soon with new calls, our community wants to be present and be successful as in FP 6 • We have to be well prepared for this meeting and demonstrate our expertise and competence ! • Please register now, if not done yet! CARE annual Meeting 05, cont. • Working sessions (parallel) of all activities – Report on status and latest progress – Preparation of the annual report • Joined session with SRF, HIPPI and PHIN – Exchange experience with SRF technology • Plenary sessions about highlights in the different activities – We have to define subject and speakers of JRA 1 „highlights“ in this meeting; two talks are envisaged • Plenary talks of all activities Annual JRA 1 Meeting 05

Remember Annual report 04 of JRA 1 • Report was final as of 21. 2. 2005 – Is 101 pages long – Includes many pages of MS Project – Work in all WP`s described, but with large variation in quality – Iteration took 2 months: too long !! – Too slow feed back from some WP`s, – Many milestones are delayed: • 14 milestones finished in 2004 • 13 milestones not finished in 2004 with an average delay of 5 month • 1 deliverable not finished in 2004, delayed by 5 months – Reporting ( publications, milestones, talks, …) needs essential improvement & more discipline in following our rules Annual JRA 1 Meeting 05

JRA 1 Annual Report 05 • Merged and condensed version of Q 1 -05 and Q 2 -05 report – Complete version of Q 2 -05 has been send to all WP and Task leaders recently, please comment / propose corrections (if needed) during this meeting • Should describe and highlight progress in 05: – – Major progress in MS project schedule Report on new findings Make use of reference to publications, meetings, … Explain reason of delay and actions foreseen to make up • WP leader is responsible for the writing – Use MS word, font Times New Roman 12 in plain text, A 4 size – # pages: 3 -6 including pictures, compact writing is encouraged • Draft version should be ready for discussion at CARE annual meeting Annual JRA 1 Meeting 05
