How to… Walk into my classroom. Enter quietly. Be on time! Sign the tardy log if you are late. You get one free tardy per nine weeks. Always read the screen and/or board for directions. Follow those instructions in your assigned seat. Bell work

How to… turn in assignments. Put MLA heading on everything (top left corner) Your name, my name, class/period, date. Example: Jane Done Mrs. Parker English 9 11 January 2012 Turn it in to the class period’s bin. Returned assignments: storage bin
How to… get dismissed on time. The bell does not dismiss them. Do not pack up 5 minutes before it’s time to go. (HUGE pet peeve!) They must be in their seats and completely quiet before I will dismiss them.

How can you help your child succeed? Make sure they get regular sleep (phones) Inspect what you expect academically and behaviorally. Are they measuring up to their own goals? Yours? Do they know how to get there? Use Powerschool –changes are seen on notifications Find a method for typing and internet use. Know a backup plan for power outages. Ask if help is needed!! Look on the webpage first . Remind is my preferred after hours communication.
