S. History) • Science (human body, changes of state, mixtures and solutions, weather, solar system, review of 4 th grade concepts- electricity, rocks and minerals, ecosystems) • D. A. R. E. • Technology (basic computer skills, web based projects, word processing skills)
Accelerated Reader. During the trimester, each student is required to take 3 quizzes at his/her IRL, within his/her ZPD. Passing scores are 80% and above. There is time in the computer lab and in class to take quizzes!

N. E. S. T. NEST stands for: Nurturing Enrichment Study Time During NEST, students who need extra help in math or writing will receive intervention. Other students will rotate through various “enrichment” classes as they explore and find their passion and element.

Birthday Celebrations It is our school policy to not have any birthday celebrations at school. Please do not send in any treats (such as cakes, cupcakes, and etc), as they will be turned away. Sending in simple goody bags (without any edible items) are allowed.
