Overcome shyness!
Don’t get discouraged! n The first year in an English-speaking country, you would also feel as if you weren’t making any progress. n But as you continue to listen and build your vocabulary, the “listening breakthrough” will happen!
Reasons to Learn English Now n When you are 18 -19, you have a greater language learning ability than you will have later on.
You can do it! If you were in an English-speaking environment for the next 3 years, I promise you —you would become fluent in English. It doesn’t depend on IQ or LQ! You can create that environment for yourself NOW.
You have native-speaking teachers!
Good habits for language learning n Try to learn phrases and not just words. n When you are studying new words and phrases, look at them, listen to them, say them, write them, sing them, do them… n Study every day. n Say new words and phrases in real life—as often as possible.
You can’t learn English by taking a 2 -hour class once a week!!! n LISTEN EVERY DAY n SPEAK EVERY DAY
