Background • Cumbria County Council’s (CCC) professional services are currently provided via contract with Capita Symonds, • CCC intention to procure professional services via range of specialist frameworks. • Currently working to exit Capita contract including TUPE requirement • Other public sector partners will have access to frameworks Building pride in Cumbria

The Future • Demise of NWDA funding but EU, Heritage Lottery etc still available • Government has announced Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEP’s) are to succeed RDA’s • Cumbria County Council is working with private sector to submit a bid for Cumbria LEP by 6 th September 2010 • LEP’s will be based on public / private partnership • Projects ready to go but rules of engagement unknown • Fee range could be from £ 1 k to £ 1. 5 m Building pride in Cumbria
