HOW TO MEET KEY GOVERNMENT DECISION MAKERS AND LOCAL PARTNERS TO BID FOR TENDERS l l l DEWA , as a government body encourages all international manufacturers to participate in tenders. While the Major companies are participating in our global tenders directly, the medium and small scale industries / manufacturers can submit their products / services to our main contractors , who will submit their offers with their sub supplier’s product catalogue details to us for our technical review and acceptance. This cycle will help all International suppliers to do exports directly without opening office or tie up local sponsors. However for direct sale to DEWA, the company requires to be tied up with local partners, as per UAE law. DEWA never prescribed approved vendor list in any tender. This is to encourage new manufacturers to submit their product details to us for our review and procurement. Finding successful local partner is difficult for new comers but could be achieved with proper experienced local assistance. DEWA organising the WETEX 2008 Water, Energy Technology and Environment Exhibition from 17 – 19 March 2008 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre is an excellent platform for International companies to meet Government authorities and to choose best local partner to expand their business in the Gulf.
