We persuade ourselves that life will get better when we get married, have kids, then something else. Then we get upset that our kids still little, and wait that everything will get better when they grow up. Then we are worrying that they became teenagers and we need to cope them somehow. Of course, we will be happier when they grow up from this risky age. We say to ourselves that our life will be better when our wife/husband manage his business, when we buy a better car, when we go for a holiday, when we eventually retire. The truth is “there is no better time to be happy than now”. If not now, when? Your life always will be full of challenges. Better to take it as it is And decide to be happy no matter what.
For a long time it seemed that life is going to start. Real life. Yet something always happened that was a hinder on your way, tough challenge, that you have to do; work, that you have to finish; time you have to spend; bill, you have to pay. And then we will start to live. Eventually, I realised, that all this challenges were parts of actual life. This understanding helped me to see that there is no way to the happiness. Happiness is the Way. That’s why enjoy every moment. Stop waiting till you finish school, starting studying, wait till you loose $10, earn $10, when you find a job, get married, stop waiting till Friday afternoon, till Sunday morning, don’t wait for a new car, when you pay all your bills, till spring, summer, autumn, don’t wait for a particular day, when your first song would be on the radio, when you die, when you be born again…. don’t wait before you decide to be happy.
Happiness is the WAY, not a destination point. There Is no time to be happy rather than…. NOW! Live and enjoy every moment. -Author is unknown- Now, think and answer this questions: 1 – Names of 5 richest people on the planet. 2 – Names of 5 latest winners of “Miss Universe”. 3 – Names of 5 recent Nobel Prize winners. 4 – Names of 5 recent recipients of the “Oscar” for the best movie.
Didn’t quite work? It was a little bit hard, wasn’t it? Don’t worry, no one remember. Applause come down! Prizes cover in dust! Winners are soon forgotten. Now answer this questions: 1 – 3 Names of teachers that have contributed to your education. 2 – 3 Names of friends that helped you when you needed. 3 – Think of how many people made you feel special. 4 – 5 Names of people you like to spend your time with. Feasible? That's easier, isn’t? People who mean something in your life are not rated "the best", do not have the most money, have not won the greatest prizes. . . They are the ones who care about you, cherish you, those who, no matter what, stay close. Think about it for a moment. Life is so short! And you, in which list are you? Don’t know?
Let me shake your hand. You are not among the most "famous", but among those who I remember sending this message. . . Some time ago, at the Seattle Olympics, nine athletes were at the start of the 100 -m race. They all had physical or mental disabilities. There was a shot and the race started. Not everyone was running, but everyone wanted to participate and win. They ran a third of the distance, when the boy stumbled, did a few somersaults and fell. He started to cry. The other eight members heard him cry. They slowed and looked back. Then they stopped and came back. . . All of them. . . Girl with a Down syndrome sat down next to him, put her arms around asked, "Are you feeling better? " Then, all nine men went shoulder to the finish line. The whole crowd stood up and applauded. The applause lasted for a very long time. . .
Those who saw it still talk about it. Why? Because deep down inside, we all know that the most important thing in life - so much more than winning for ourselves. The most important thing in life - to help others win. Even if it means you have to slow down or change your own race. If you send this letter, we might change our hearts and the hearts of perhaps someone else. . . "A candle loses nothing of its flame when lighted another candle" So, what's your decision?
