Welcome to Tetjushi !!!

There is a small town on a map of Tatarstan it is Tetjushi. The population is 12 thousand of people. Tetjushi has been based more 4 centuries ago – in 1573 year – as a defensive fortress for people’s protection.

There are some versions of an origin of the word Tetjushi. One of them is the name of city occurs from Bulgar word «teis-tuee» which means nut mountain. Another word is from Tatar «tau tash» - a mountain-stone, or «tau tesh» a mountain-tooth. All these versions have the right to be.

Tetjushanes are proud of the fellow countrymen, they are the scientist-the chemist and professor - G. H. Kamai, the great chuvash educator I. J. Jakovlev, writer S. Maximov. Koshkinski and Maxud Sjundjuklju, artist Kuprijanov, doctors Bogoljubov and the Sokolov.

The fivefold world champion, the two-multiple champion on heavy athletics Vorobjov, numerous champion the World of Europe, silver prizer of the 27 th Olympic Games in Sidney Svetlana Demina.

Basis of economy has agriculture. Important part in economy of area are city electric systems, ”Tetjshinefteproduction”, timber enterprise, fishfactory (Tetjushi were always glorified by a fish). Here you can see educated the building organizations- firm “Hope”, DOCK, PMK, “Stroiinvest” (their forces actively build up microdistrict “Southern”) borrow ATP, Road management. The majority of the enterprises food and a process industry are connected to an agriculture- or bread point, milk factory, a meatpacking plant, a bread- baking complex.
