WHO ARE THE VOLUNTEERS? A person that actively takes on a task, responsibility, or project on his or her own accord without needing to be assigned, ordered, or told to do so. A volunteer is a person that has a spirit of service, creativity, sensitivity for human pain, strong moral values, the ability to work in a team, and a social conscience.
WHO CAN BE A VOLUNTEER? Everyone can Volunteer! Volunteers come from all walks of life and all age groups and there are opportunities to suit everyone. You just need to want it!
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED EVERYWHERE! A lot of countries and people need help every day! Many people need help, especially after disasters. But it is not just people. So many events, sports singularities need volunteers, too.
WE ARE VOLUNTEERS!
“+” AND “–” “+” Volunteering gives you the chance to meet people both from within and outside the University who you would not normally come across. Volunteering gives you the opportunity to test out potential career choices. Volunteering can help you build links with particular organizations like Schools, FE Colleges and specific community organizations. You may volunteer to help other people.
“-” Volunteers aren`t paid not because they’re worthless, but because they are priceless!
