Maths Passports! The Guestling Maths Passports are a personalised way of learning, as children work on their own individual passports and progress at their own speed onto the next stage. Assessment of targets by completing timed tasks. Three ticks next to a target indicates that the target has been achieved. Once all the targets have been achieved, the children are awarded a certificate in Celebration Assembly. The child then moves onto their next Maths Passport. (new targets photocopied on the reverse)
Super Spellers! • Your child will receive a spelling booklet which is individual to them. These booklets contain groups of spellings and also blank groups for the teacher/TA to additional spellings. • Your teacher will highlight the group of spellings that your child is working on OR they will send that group home on their own. • Over a 1 to 2 week period, your child will learn and apply those words so they have been learnt securely. Once secure (your child’s teacher will decide this), your child will then move onto the next group. • Once the booklet is completed, your child will receive a certificate in assembly to celebrate their achievement. • Children will be given time in school to practise these spellings with the help of the adults in the class. It would be expected that your child will complete no more than 2 booklets in 1 year.
