Geographical position Wales is located on the peninsula in the west of the island Great Britain. The total area of the country makes about 20 779 km ². Wales bounds from the east with England from three sides is surrounded with the sea (In the north it is washed by the Irish Sea, in the south -Bristol Channel and in the west - Saint George's Channel).
The flag of Wales has the name «Y Ddraig Goch» that in translation from Welsh means «Red dragon» . On a flag the red dragon, on a white and green background. Official recognition «Red dragon» - the flag of Wales, received only in 1959.
National flag
The Emblem Of Wales isn’t have legislatively approved national emblem - it performs the role of the Royal sign of Wales, this sign has been the highest official symbol since 2008. This kind of coat of arms is use the National Assembly for the adoption acts.

The head of the principality of Wales is the prince of Wales (since July 1, 1969 – the prince Charles, the son of Queen Elizabeth II and the prince Philippe, the duke Edinburgh) The first minister of Wales is Rodri Morgan, the member of the Wales separation of the Labour party (The Assembly choose the first minister who becomes the head of the government of Assembly). Iyeyan Vin Thomas is the Deputy first minister. Peter Hain is the State secretary across of Wales (he represents to government affairs which are related to Wales).
Administrative division Wales is divided into 22 administrative areas. These is include: 9 counties, 3 cities, and 10 cities-counties.

Population The population of 3 063 456 million people, including Welsh people( about 29%) and English people( about 69%).
Agriculture and Economy Agriculture The main occupations are mining, industry and cattle breeding. Economy Share of the annual growth of GDP Wales - 25 % (against 18% in the whole of the UK). Wales is the most important center of production consumer goods and electronics. Tourism also plays an important role in the economic development of the region.

It is also widely known as the performer of a role of the Batman in the cult trilogy of Christopher Nolan of the same name.
Saint David's Day is one of the most important holidays for believers people of Wales. It is celebrate on March 1 in Wales and in other countries of the world. This is a legend, which says that the Saint David preach the Christian religion in the United Kingdom of Great Britain.
