W 4 RM Station Location and Tower n n n The W 4 RM M 2 Station is built on 10 acres in Nokesville, Va. (35 Miles SW of DC) and 1 air mile north Quantico Marine base on the west side of I 95. Currently, the Station has a single 110 ft Rohn 55 G tower using Phillystrain guy wires located 500 ft from the house. Antennas and placement: • 125 ft 7 ele 6 M Force 12 Beam • 119 ft 70 ft 80 M Force 12 rotatable dipole with relay switching for CW and SSB • 112 ft 3 ele 40 M (MAG 340 N) Force 12 Beam • 104 ft C 31 XR Tribander on a 1032 D Tic-Ring rotor • 72 ft C 31 XR Tribander on a 1022 D Tic-Ring Rotor • 40 ft C 31 XR Tribander fix mounted on EU
W 4 RM Station Tower and antennas n The C 31 XRs are connect to an Array Solutions Stack Match for stacking control • Second Feed Line Option allows split of stack n n n All Antennas are feed at the bottom of the tower into an Array Solutions Six Pack antenna controller 160 M antenna is a single wire inverted L (80 ft vertical) with 32 ground radials and 6000 ft of wire 160 M receive: A single 580 ft NE beverage Top rotor is an M 2 Orion RC-2800 P The tower is connect to the shack by 2 - 500 ft 7/8” hardline runs and one ½” 500 ft hardline run

W 4 RM Stations n The M 2 Shack is designed with Two Run stations, One Multiplier Station, one Master computer station • The two run stations are identical and consist of the following equipment n Yaesu FT-1000 MP n Alpha 99 Amplifier n Pentium Computer running Writelog n Six Pack antenna controller n MFJ-434 DVK n Top Ten Band Decoder n Dunestar 600 Band Pass Filter n 2 CW paddles (right and left side) n Logi. Keyer n Heil Proset
W 4 RM Stations • The Mulipler station consists of the following equipment n Yaesu FT-920 n Alpha 374 A Amplifier n Pentium Computer running Writelog n Single ½” hardline run to crank-up tower (AB 577) with Force 12 C 4 E n Top Ten Band Decoder n ICE Band Pass Filter n CW paddle, Heil Proset • The Master Computer is feed by a Comcast highspeed cable modem, router and 8 port switch n This master computer runs VE 7 CC and connects to K 4 JA packcluster, filters and feeds all three stations n This Master Computer also runs Writelog and acts as the master control point for monitoring band conditions for band changes and monitoring for new multipliers

Planed Future Station Enhancements n n Add third ring rotor to 40 ft C 31 XR Add Second tower (Spring/Summer 2005) • 100 ft Rohn n n On Mast - WARC-7 (12, 17, 30 M) Force 12 Beam 115 ft Two Stack of 15 M OWA 6 ele 36 foot boom Beams @92 and 67 ft fixed on EU Add second and third 160 M Inverted L’s to the Triangular array (first one complete) Add 4 four additional 580 ft beverages and switching Shack Changes • • Change out 17” monitors with 19” flat panel monitors mounted on adjustable arms Add roofing filters to FT-1000 MP’s
