CLDP PURPOSE “The CLDP assesses the leadership strengths and developmental areas of V Corps Leaders from Platoon Leader to Battalion Commander and their senior NCO counterparts. . The purpose of the CLDP is to provide a tool to assist in leader development IAW Army doctrinal leader values, attributes, skills, and actions tailored to the CMTC experience. . . for self-development purposes; neither assessments nor feedback will be made available to the chain of command. ” William S. Assessment Pool Click on the Assessment Pool link to begin the process. You will enter the email addresses of up to 10 peers, 3 superiors, and 10 subordinates. They will be asked via email to participate in your 360° evaluation. The whole process is done online. Note that the assessments and feedback will not be made available to the chain of command.
Wait for Respondents Once you have created your assessment pool, you come back to the Assessment Pool screen to track when those in your pool have responded to the request.
Review Reports You can review your 360° evaluations by competency. Each competency is viewed in the categories of self, superior, peer, subordinate, and overall. Competencies include: planning, executing, assessing, building, tactical, physical, mental, emotional, interpersonal skills, conceptual skills, technical skills, communicating, motivating, decision making, developing, learning.
EXPECTED RESULTS ASSESSED LEADER TASKS BN CDR , BN XO, BN S 3, CO CDR, PLT LDR, BN CSM, BN OPS SGM, CO 1 SG - Identify leadership qualities and complete leadership assessment of Superior, Peer, Self, and/or Subordinate - Receive Feedback and Create a Self-Development Plan - Self-Select a Military Coach -Receive and/or Conduct Mentorship CONTRACTOR TASKS - Administer Web-based Survey - Analyze Assessments - Provide web-based Feedback EXPECTED RESULTS - Assessed leadership skills applicable to the battlefield - Feedback is timely, balanced, and actionable - Training and leader development are visibly linked - Baseline provided for meaningful mentorship - Ownership for self-development reinforced - Improved combat leader effectiveness
COACH SUPPORTING ROLE Leaders will self-select a coach to help with selfdevelopment. The coach can help the assessed leader by providing: • Observations • Assessments • Coaching • Teaching • Developmental counseling The coach will have access to the leader reference tools and mentoring tools on the CLDP website.
