What is Valentine’s Day? Saint Valentine’s Day or Valentine’s Day is a holiday. It is celebrated every year on February 14 th. In many English-speaking countriespeople send cards, flowers and chocolateto people they love. This is a special date to celebrate love and friendship. In some countrieschildren decoratetheir classroomswith hearts, red roses and cupids. Children write “valentines”to their friends, classmates and to their parents. A Valentinecard usually has a poemand this question: will you be my Valentine? At the bakery you can buy cakes and cookiesin the shape of hearts. At the candy shop you can also buy Valentine’schocolateand candy. Some people go out to have dinner or to parties. Happy Valentine’s Day
