Uzhhorod National University, Ukraine l Project title: The biological disinfection and preventing of biofilm formation l Project promoter: R&D Centre of Molecular Microbiology and Mucosal Immunology
Uzhhorod National University, Ukraine Funding programmes: l l EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation "Horizon 2020" COST ACTION FA 2012 Bac. Food. Net Project
Uzhhorod National University, Ukraine Aim of the project: - Develop effective, safe and cheap antimicrobials to reduce the spread and contamination by pathogenic strains of the environment and food products Objectives: - Selection of the most promising antimicrobial extracts of edible plants and determine the optimal effective dose range and their applications - Development of new biological disinfectants based on extracts of berries and edible plants (and their compositions with beneficial microbes) - A full analytical assessment of the content of biologically active substances in pre-selected extracts of edible plants with installed pro- and antimicrobial activity
Uzhhorod National University l Main expected results of the project: ü Production of new original disinfectants based on plant and berries rich in biologically active substances or their composition with beneficial microbes – both with specific spectrum of action in order to minimize the biofilm formation by pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms resistant to antibiotics in medicine ad food industry
Uzhhorod National University l Main foreseen activities: Implementation innovative and newly developed and patented methods of prevention of the biofilm formation in the food industry l Marketing of new biological products: business site visits, experts roundtables, seminars, conferences, trainings etc.
