Lifestyle drugs – smoking cessation, anti-obesity, erectile dysfunction and over the counter drugs and vitamins are NOT covered. Medical items and Durable Medical Equipment are covered where medically necessary. Footwear - such as molded arch supports and orthopaedic shoes is covered ( by prescription) to a maximum of $ 150 per calendar year. Eye Exams are covered once per 24 months up to a maximum of $80. Paramedical Services: Registered Physiotherapy, Chiropractor, Massage Therapy ( with an Rx ), Speech Therapy, Psychologist, and Podiatrist are covered up to a combined maximum of $300 per calendar year. Semi Private Hospital is covered up to $1, 000 per calendar year.

Dental Benefits Basic Dental benefits are covered up to a maximum of $500 per Dental Benefits Basic Dental benefits are covered up to a maximum of $500 per calendar year per covered individual. A co-pay of 20% applies. The provincial fee guide is based on the prior year. Recall exams are once per 9 months for adults and once per 6 months for dependent children. Cleaning and polishing limited to 1 unit and scaling 1 unit per calendar year. Extractions, basic restorations, fillings, inlays, x -rays, fluoride treatments and surgical services are covered. Major Services such as crowns, bridges & orthodontics are not covered under your plan.
