9 19/03/2018 Construction & Environmental Aspect Floor and Wall Construction with Insulation Analysis The U-values of the outer walls are increased to roughly 0, 13 W/(m²K). The insulation in the roof is reduced to the point where University of Corte - Student Halls Residents U = 0, 15 W/(m²K). Building PP 1 The ground floor slab insulation is reduced to U = 0, 12 W/(m²K).
Material Analysis 10 19/03/2018 Insulation materials Natural Limestone cladding Local façade cladding Lower costs Durable Natural Cellulose insulation Agglomerated cork insulation (granulated) Cheap and performs well thermally Thermal conductivity λ Resistance against mould, = 0, 04 W/m. Great for dormitory as it is allergy free. University of Corte - Student Halls Residents Building PP 1 80 -90% of it is made from old paper.
Construction & Environmental Aspect 11 19/03/2018 Windows, Balconies and Doors Zinc window frames Bloomframe®, is an innovative window that morph into a balcony at the touch of a button. Highly thermally insulating glazing Highly thermally insulating frame Thermally optimised composite edge Expert installation, thermally optimised Double glazed argon-filled windows with a Uw value of 0, 8. The external doors, when replaced will have a U-value of 0, 8. New doors have sound insulation of 34 d. B Isokorb® XT have even been University of certified as Corte - Student Halls Residents a “low thermal bridge Building PP 1 construction” by the Passive House Institute in Darmstadt.

Green Roof 14 19/03/2018 We decided to install an extensive green roof in the part A because the weight is lower than the intensive. And an intensive green roof the part B with a garden, because the roof is smaller than part A so although we increase the weight we do not need extra structure and students will have a new place to enjoy. University of Corte - Student Halls Residents For doing the distribution of rainwater network in the roof, we consulted the Spanish legislation. Building PP 1 According to CTE (Spanish legislation) for a surface of 330 m 2 of roof and slope of 3% we need to put 4 sinks and pipes of 110 mm and between 100 m 2 and 200 m 2 should be put 2 sinks.
15 19/03/2018 Green Building Certification, Costs and Management Certification Costs & Management • Cleaning: The place of the cleaning storages should be easy accessible. Floor plans should be appropriate for cleaning in fact of efficiency. Flooring should be easy to clean and not involve difficult materials. • Maintenance: Integrate the right technique and machines which are accessible, simple and not complicated. Spare parts have to be available and a maintenance schedule will be created. • Administration: A good organization in the beginning such as developing user groups and evaluating the different usages in the building to be able to differentiate between these cost groups. • Safety • Service Supply • Repairs University of Corte - Student Halls Residents The L´Association HQE in France works together with global Building PP 1 interfaces to develop frameworks, train professionals and embody its values.
Prices 16 19/03/2018 The diagram demonstrates the process of the building elements life cycle, showing each stage the material goes through before it can be recycled, re-used or disposed of. The diagram above shows the whole life cost and the life cycle cost diagram which is used to represent how building elements are required to perform throughout its life with the input (cost) of using them in construction, operating them, maintaining them, replacing them and disposing them.
