United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund
United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund was created 11 of December, 1946 by the General Assembly as an emergency organization to help children affected by the Second World War. Supposed that the fund will be temporary, but in 1953, the United Nations extended range of of the organization and its duration extended indefinitely. The Fund has received its present name, keeping the original abbreviation UNIСEF. Organization is located in New York and Geneva.

UNICEF's activities UNICEF believes that progress is impossible without the development of each child, and its activities based on this humanist position. UNICEF calls for the cooperation of politicians and various government agencies, it supports programs of protection the health and lives of children and their physical and intellectual development.
UNICEF receives no funding from the United Nations and depends on voluntary donations. UNICEF supports programs for children, providing them with the most necessary things, helping to create comfortable conditions for them and their families. UNICEF pays special attention to children from disadvantaged and developing countries who are in the most difficult conditions: children with disabilities, victims of war and natural disasters, poverty, cruelty and exploitation.
Priority is given to children from the countries that need support the most. Through its regional programs, UNICEF protects the rights of women and girls and the fights for their participating fully in the political, economic and social life of their countries. Together with all its partners and donors UNICEF works to achieve equal and fair values of the global community.
