UNCLASSIFIED DASR 21 – Subpart O • Technical Standard Order (FAA) – A TSO is a minimum performance standard for specified materials, parts, and appliances used on civil aircraft. – A TSO authorisation approves the design of the TSO item and authorises production through Subpart F or G – Not an approval to install and use the article in the aircraft • Australian Military technical standard order authorisations (AUSMTSO) UNCLASSIFIED 21
