TYPES OF RECREATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS
Examples of recreational establishments are sanatoriums, motels, hostels, holiday homes, guest houses, tourist ships. They are rather complicated system. So that in the camping there may be included tents, slept-yearround buildings, summer cinema hall, boiler room, laundry, housing, etc.
TYPOLOGY ACCORDING TO THE FUNCTIONS OF RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES In this typology there are distinguished four main types: Treatment; Health-improving; Sports; Educational.
Recreational healing type is characterized by main function of treatment based on natural factors: mineral water, curative mud, climatic conditions. This type demand more friction to natural complexes, especially balneological resources, service level and the degree of landscaping. Activity cycles typical for this type include treatment and walking, tours, sightseeing, sun and air baths.
Recreational healing type is divided into three subtypes: Recreational –treatment climatic, Recreational –treatment mud, Recreational –treatment balneological.
Health-improving type is characterized by main functions of recovery and development of physical and spiritual potential of human, disease prevention, and removal of production and domestic nervous and physical exhaustion. This type places high demands on the level of service and the degree of landscaping. It includes swimming, sun and air baths, walks, sports and excursions. This recreational type is divided into two subtypes: Recreation health-improving bathing-beach, Recreation health-improving walking.
Recreation sports type is characterized by main function of the physical improving. It is characterized by a group of physical training with coaching regime - sports games and competitions, alpinism, hunting and fishing. Additional role play walking, swimming, sun and air baths, excursions. There are three subtypes: Recreational – sports fishing and hunting, Recreational – sports competitive, Recreation – sports tourism.
Recreational educational type is characterized by main function of spiritual development, implemented by consumption of cultural and natural resources. Leading activity is excursions (cultural-historical or naturalhistorical). Characterized by very high demands on the natural and especially cultural complexes the main elements of attractiveness. Especially important is exoticness, uniqueness, variety of scenery. There are two subtypes: Educational – cultural, Educational – natural.
While outdoor activities are not used as separate components of nature and cultural complex, but the entire complex, the value of individual component is manifested in conjunction with all the others. This type is characterized by: lower demands for comfort climate conditions, high mobility of tourists for short duration, high demands for information services, and comfortable means of transportation, accommodations and meals.
TYPOLOGY ACCORDING TO THE DEGREE OF ORGANIZATION OF UNCHANGED NATURE AND TECHNICAL SYSTEMS In this typology, there are two types: urbanized, not urbanized.
Urbanized subtypes include: City - resort City - excursion center Holiday villages. The first two subtypes -are the most urbanized areas with extensive habitat technical facilities, developed system of services. Housing estates – are relatively poorly urbanized areas, where people have the opportunity, on the one hand, to organize subsistence production of agricultural products (horticultural chalet sites), the other - to use landscapes adjacent to settlements in walking zone.
Not urbanized type is represented mainly by natural parks. They should have minimal changeable natural systems that provide efficient and active recreation, aesthetic effect, favorable medicalgeographical conditions. There are four functional types of parks: recreational, sporting, hunting (fishing), architectural historical parks.
