1973 יום העצמאות ה 52 - מאי The 25 th independence day - May 1973 In May 1973, Israel celebrated it's 25 th Independence Day. Joy was great, and the military parade was held in Jerusalem in that year. The planes roared overhead, tanks plowed the roads and the best of our sons marched proudly through the city. Five months later, in it’s holiest day – Yom Kippur, Israel was caught complacent and unprepared by a combo attack of Egypt and Syria. Many of it’s sons fell in the cruel battles in the north and south. Many of them marched this last march. The victory was great – the victory of the simple people, despite its leaders' failure, but the price of complacency was huge and painful, to this day. This presentation is in memory of the men and women that fell in the heavy fighting. במאי 3791 חגגה ישראל את יום העצמאות ה 52 שלה. השמחה היתה גדולה, והמצעד . הצבאי נערך בירושלים באותה שנה המטוסים חלפו מעל, הטנקים חרשו את הכבישים וטובי בנינו צעדו בגאווה ברחובות . העיר חמישה חודשים מאוחר יותר - ביום הכיפורים נתפסה ישראל שאננה ולא מוכנה בהתקפה משולבת של מצרים וסוריה. רבים מבניה נפלו בקרבות האכזריים בצפון . ובדרום . רבים מהם צעדו במצעד האחרון הזה , הניצחון היה גדול, ניצחון העם הפשוט למרות כשל מנהיגיו, אך מחיר השאננות . היה עצום וכואב, עד עצם היום הזה מצגת זו מוקדשת לזכר הנופלים והנופלות . בקרבות הכבדים
