NY Sustainability Recycled Road Planings • 1, 300 tonnes of road planings have been utilised in Area 6 at Little Ouseburn and Area 4 at Sands Lane, Wintringham, as sub-base. • This equates to a reduction of approximately 7, 800 lorry kilometres. • A saving of 1, 300 tonnes of virgin aggregate is also achieved. Dry Stone Aggregates • To date 2, 000 tonnes Type 1 at Towton and 350 tonnes Type 1 at Whitewall Quarry have been recycled, saving the import of 2, 350 tonnes of virgin rock. • It is now our intention to monitor sustainability savings in transport.
