Showcase A abstract • Showcase A: one. M 2 M/ESMIG Home Energy Management showcase Showcase A abstract • Showcase A: one. M 2 M/ESMIG Home Energy Management showcase – ESMIG, Sierra Wireless, Vodafone, Kamstrup, Qualcomm, Grid. Pocket, LAAS-CNRS This showcase demonstrates a complex home energy management solution based on both the standards defined in one. M 2 M and the standards recommended by ESMIG (European Smart Metering Industry Group). It shows how an existing smart metering deployment can be enhanced to share relevant data across different stakeholders using a one. M 2 M-compliant platform, using intelligent communication gateways as well as an adequate cloud-based infrastructure. It constitutes a first step towards a full implementation of one. M 2 M technology in an infrastructure for Smart Metering and Demand Response involving various market parties such as: Grid Operator, Energy Service Company, Energy supplier and consumer. The application provides advanced energy dash-board functionalities, usage analysis and innovative energy-saving loyalty schemes. It also demonstrates advanced communication capabilities such as the automatic selection of appropriate communication paths and selective buffering of data based on provisioned policies.

M 2 M Platform – LG Electronics, LG U+, Modacom, Eluon This showcase is about how two different Io. T verticals, Smart Home and Smart Car, can be converged based on one. M 2 M platforms that are installed in the G/W in the Home domain and car domain and in the server (cloud). The main user experiences provided from this showcase are 1) to control home appliances in the car, 2) to monitor vehicle environment at home and 3) to customize environment surrounding a user by using personalized G/W, smartphone.

Showcase C abstract • Showcase C: Smart City Services and Multiple Service Layer Platforms Showcase C abstract • Showcase C: Smart City Services and Multiple Service Layer Platforms Interworking – KETI, Inter. Digital, NEC Corporation, Fraunhofer, SK Telecom This showcase introduces smart city applications/services run on multiple Io. T service layer platforms interworking each other. The main purpose of the showcase is to show M 2 M/Io. T service providers are using one. M 2 M compliant service layer platforms to deliver services more efficiently across multiple technology domains in particular for smart city. The demo shows (1) registration procedures of sensors and actuators to a one. M 2 M compliant service layer platform; (2) mutual registrations of multiple adjacent service layer platforms; (3) and smart city applications that discovers the registered devices and introduces semantic data enabling fast auto-configuration and big-data analytics. Since the deployment configurations of the showcase span multiple domains (i. e. , field domain for end devices and infrastructure domain for infrastructure nodes) and the node entities (i. e. , ADN, ASN, MN and IN) are from different companies, it clearly delivers messages that the one. M 2 M specifications can provide a service layer which enables services and interoperability between devices/device networks and cloud-based applications.

Movable house keeper robot with embedded remote control of home appliance, monitor and control of sensors, actuators and alarms as well as remotely real time video communication to inspect the in home situation. Zigbee interworking capability to connect standard Zigbee devices. - What’s your pet doing right now while you are away? - Acting as avatar to accompany family while you are in a long business trip. - Warn the intruder when no one is at home. Story 2: one. M 2 M enabled LWM 2 M device management Remotely update the firmware of the device using unified one. M 2 M interface agnostic to detailed bearing technology. LWM 2 M as the external management technology.

Showcase D abstract Story 3: Enablement of the M 2 M device abstraction and Showcase D abstract Story 3: Enablement of the M 2 M device abstraction and semantics support Based on a basic XML-based semantic data communication schema as well as the M 2 M resource ontology, by abstracting the sensor data with a virtual sensor gateway, a scenario of intelligent control on a large conference room is presented. Story 4: one. M 2 M enabled health monitoring and management application. Wearable devices are connected via Bluetooth to smart phones, which will process data and then upload to the health AE through one. M 2 M platform. A scenario is presented, in which users’ activities (exercises, sleeping quality etc. ) are monitored, and feedback is provided to users after analyzing the monitored data.

M 2 M-based Continua Compliant Healthcare System and Interworking of Multiple one. M 2 M Service Layer Platforms – Lamprey Networks, Inter. Digital, Personal Connected Health Alliance (Continua) This demonstration highlights the operation of a Continua compliant Health. Care solution running over the one. M 2 M service layer to form a complete end-to-end home healthcare solution. In this system, one. M 2 M CSE functionality is deployed on the Continua defined WAN Interface present between a Continua Application Hosting Device (AHD) and a Continua WAN Service. Hosted on the Gateway, a Continua AHD is interworking with an one. M 2 M ASN-CSE. This Gateway interfaces to a M 2 M cloud server that hosts a Continua WAN Service interworking with an one. M 2 M IN-CSE. It also includes Continua compliant healthcare business applications that interfaces directly to the Continua WAN Services All communication between the Continua AHD (hosted on the M 2 M Gateway) and the Continua WAN Service (hosted on the M 2 M cloud server) are facilitated by ASN-CSE and INCSE supported one. M 2 M functionality such as registration, container management, subscriptions/notifications, announce/de-announce, resource discovery, and triggering.

M 2 M platform – Ericsson This demo showcases Connected Vehicle Cloud based on one. M 2 M Architecture and Protocols. It focuses on the Device Management and Data Management Common Service Entities. This demo captures one. M 2 M nodes inter-working i. e. AE, CSE and NSE integration along with the one. M 2 M device entity (connected vehicle). The demo showcases some use cases like: 1. Data collection from a connected vehicle 2. Firmware/Software download/update for a connected vehicle It uses Ericsson's Service Enablement Platform along with Ericsson's Remote Device Manager, supporting the underlying Device Management protocols as identified by one. M 2 M for mapping on, namely TR-069, OMA-DM and LWM 2 M. The use-case for this demo is based on Connected Car concept where a car is the one. M 2 M device to be managed remotely by a Service Layer and capabilities are exposed towards application Layer to build innovative apps. The demonstration showcases a simple application capturing end-to-end scenarios for device management and data management in a one. M 2 M compliant Architecture.

The demo is based on the one. M 2 M Architecture and it includes multiple sensors, one or more gateways and an infrastructure node. The business application(s) are interfacing with the infrastructure node using one. M 2 M “Mca” reference point and it takes full advantage of the one. M 2 M access right definitions.
