Personalisation and Personalised Learning Personalisation has the potential to transform public services, but to unlock that potential the idea needs to involve the integration of two key, and contrasting, approaches: • Teachers and educational professionals must deploy their knowledge and skills in a timely and effective way to provide a more differentiated ‘offer’ for the student. • At the same time the system must build up the knowledge and confidence of students (and their parents) to take responsibility for their own learning.
