Volyn regione has a favorable geographical position. The region is located at the crossing of European trade roads. The territory of the oblast makes 3. 3% of the territory of Ukraine. It stretches for 187 km from the north to the south, and 163 km from the east to the west.

Volyn region has a favorable natural climatic conditions, a great historical and cultural heritage, natural recreational and medical resources.

The region has significant historic and cultural potential: the total number of monuments of history, archeology, urban planning and architecture, monumental art is 2. 6 thousand to the State Register of Cultural Heritage made 468 monuments.

Shatsky National Park a unique natural complex that contains 23 lakes of karst origin. The park is most of the natural lakes of Ukraine Svitiaz. National Park has a rich flora and fauna.
