Enhance medical students’ awareness on global issues related to health ii. Encourage medical students to immerse themselves in the culture and health system of other countries iii. Send groups of medical students to different institutions all over the world iv. Provide information about clinical and community programs in diverse ethnic. communities in New Jersey that would benefit & enhance the clinical experiences of students v. Stimulate and support international activities including educational, clinical, and research vi. Sharpen student’s interviewing skills and physical examination skills METHODS 1. We calculated the total number of students who have done rotations abroad from 2010 -2014 2. Then we calculated the number of students who did rotations during their clinical years (i. e. as an elective) and non-clinical years (i. e. as a non elective) 3. We also calculated the number of students who went more than once. 4. Then we calculated the number of 4. students according to the places they went to 5. We also calculated the number of students’ according to the continent they went to Africa, and Honduras each 11. 1 student – Japan, Bangladesh, ii. Out of the 221, 95 students did rotations as an elective while 126 students did rotations as non-elective iii. There were 10 students who went abroad for rotations more than once in the past five years. iv. During the last five years, the number of students according to the place they went to are as follows 1. 55 Students – India 2. 29 Students – Ecuador 3. 23 Students – Peru 4. 22 Students – Spain 5. 10 Students – Argentina, Ghana, and Taiwan each 6. 8 Students – China 7. 5 Students – Costa Rica Singapore, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, San Jose, Makira, Switzerland, Myanmar, Mayan Medical Aid, Israel, Palau, and Nigeria each v. Number of students according to the continent they went to is as follows 1. Asia - 87 students 2. North America – 17 students 3. South America – 65 students 4. Africa – 25 students 5. Europe – 25 students 6. Oceania – 2 students
