WIDTH SIDE WALL RIM SIZE
Plus Sizing Plus sizing your wheels and tires is the best way to improve both the performance and appearance of your vehicle. By using a larger diameter wheel with a lower profile tire it's possible to properly maintain the overall diameter of the tire.
By using a tire with a shorter sidewall, you gain quickness in steering response and better lateral stability.
Wheel PHILOSOPHY • Wheels are great to have. They improve the ride and look of your car. • Always buy your wheels from a store in which you can get warranty work done on them. • Always wash your wheels with nonabrasive soap. Use dishwasher soap first, and then wax your wheel. Do not use “Wheel Cleaner, ” they stain brakes
• Don’t oversize your wheel • If you want to go big, don’t drop below 40 series tires. • Use plus sizing to make sure that you don’t overdo it and change the diameter.
• Always understand that if you have too small a side-wall, you WILL bend your rims! • Forget about the biggest rim on the block, find a rim that suits your needs that isn’t going to bend on Rochester roads!
