POLICIES ON TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER Ø Exemption from corporate income tax (CIT) for: ü Incomes generated from these technologies for organizations contributing as capital technologies for establishing enterprises or performing business cooperation contracts. ü Incomes generated from the application of technologies for four years, provided that the total exempted tax amount does not exceed 50% of total investment in technology renewal for enterprises investing in technology renewal and receiving technologies on the list of technologies encouraged for transfer. ØExemption from Import duty for: ü Goods imported for direct use in technology research and development, technology renewal ü Goods used for technology replacement or renewal and raw materials, supplies and parts used for production for five years from the commencement of the production with new technologies Ø Machinery, equipment and special-purpose means of transport which cannot be manufactured nationwide and need to be imported for the performance of technology transfer contracts are not liable to value-added tax.
