R oc k Con c e r t Rock music is a genre of popular music that originated as "rock and roll" in 1950 s America. The main centers of emergence and rock music development — the USA and Western Europe (especially Great Britain). Rock music also drew strongly on a number of other genres such as blues and folk, and incorporated influences from jazz, classical and other musical sources.

Most popular generes are Rock & Roll and Classic Rock and roll music is a combination of the rhythm, instruments, vocals, and attitude. The normal instrument line up includes one or two electric guitars, a bass guitar, and a drum kit. Classic rock music will always be around. It is music that has withstood the tests of time. Covering classic rock music means that you can cross this music over to any genre you want. This can be seen with the Stevie Nicks song “Landslide”.

A rock festival, or a rock fest, is a largescale outdoor rock music concert, featuring multiple acts, often spread out over several days. The first rock festivals were put on in the late 1960 s and were important sociocultural milestones. In the 1980 s a minor resurgence of festivals occurred with charity as the goal. Today, many rock festivals are annual events sponsored by major corporations.
