Sometimes yourself don’t know what occupation you’re interested in or whether you will be able to cope with the profession you like. In psychological classification they distinguish five profession types. Look at the chart and say what profession you can be good at.
1 “mantechnology” TECHNICAL THINKING, GOOD LOGICAL, ORGANIZED, HARD-WORKING Deals with: Professions: Turner, driver, builder, engineer, pilot, cosmonaut, designer, mechanic, fitter Machines, devices, meters, instruments, machine - tools, etc.
2 “mannature” GOOD EYE MEMORY, NEAT, PATIENT, OBSERVANT, RATIONAL Deals with: Professions Gardener, farmer, veterinary, chemist, geologist, forester, agronomist Plants, animals, their natural environment
3 “man-man” COMMUNICATIVE, SYMPATHETIC, TACTFUL, FRIENDLY, DEPENDABLE Deals with Professions Teacher, doctor, nurse, manager, salesman, waiter, secretary, trainer, policeman, investigator, inspector People
4 “man-image” ARTISTIC, CREATIVE, TALENTED, OBSERVANT, GOOD EYE MEMORY, IMAGINATIVE Deals with Professions Painter, sculptor, musician, architect, clothes designer, composer, writer, jeweler, hair stylist, artist, actor Works of art, their elements
5 “man-sign system” GOOD AT MATHS, INTELLIGENT, LOGICAL, CAREFUL, ORGANIZED, PUNCTUAL Deals with Professions Interpreter, translator, printer, accountant, programmer, economist, cashier, stenographer, typist, corrector, telephonist operator Figures, words, formulas, diagrams, symbols, music, drawings
Now we are in the 9 th Form. We are determined and responsible people so we think about our future profession choice very carefully. Certainly we take into account the importance and prestige of the profession, salary and opportunities of the further development. We also take into consideration our abilities and interests.
We organized a survey in our class where our classmates answered the questions about professional activity.

th 9 Why do we, formers think about our future? • • Firstly all of us have some certain interests. Secondly it is high time to think about our future profession choice right now. We may learn some extra information about this or that profession and may change something.
We do not waste our time. Everybody works hard and prepares for the future exams. Our Knowledge will help us to be successful in future. All of us want to get a good education and make a career promotion. We want to make our Motherland a successful and profitable country and hope to succeed.
