The North of England

A large part of the North of England is Yorkshire. It was once a separate Kingdom and the largest County in England.

Lake district In Northern England is a beautiful lake district , Hadrian's Roman wall , Durham Cathedral ; in the North of England was founded the famous musical group name "the Beatles".
North York Moors One of the popular (famous) attractions are York Minster Cathedral and the national Park the North York Moors and Newcfstle-upon-Tyne. York Minster Cathedral – one of the most imposing (величественный) monuments of Gothic architecture in Europe and one of the largest cathedrals in the North of Europe. National Park the North York Moors (North York Moors) is known for its extensive moorland plains. It is also the birthplace of the "Hogwarts Express" steam railway from the movie "Harry Potter".
Much of the mountainous upland remains undeveloped, and of the ten national parks in England, five – the Peak District, the Lake District, the North York Moors, the Yorkshire Dales, and Northumberland National Park – are located partly or entirely in the North. The Lake District includes England's highest peak, Scafell Pike, which rises to 978 m , its largest lake, Windermere, and its deepest lake, Wastwater.
