The first days of the child in school.
ing This study year started with teaching practice «The first days of the child in school» . This practice continued for the first week of September.
It was the passive practice. We observed how children adapted to school.
Every day we sat in the class and watched three lessons a day which had been in a game form. Also we visited the special event on September 1. It was the concert for first-form children.
All lessons were constructed in the game form. During this week the teacher became a friend to children. The teacher always spoke in a quiet voice and created a comfortable environment in the classroom.
At the lessons the teacher discussed the rules of school life with pupils. A lot of visibility were used at the lessons ; bright pictures and special posters.
Children worked individually and in groups. Also the teacher used various games. For example the game «Name`s ball» . This game helped children to meet with their teacher and with their classmates.
It was hard for children to use the rules of school life. They wanted to run , jump and play, but they had to sit at a desk and listen to the teacher. It was very difficult for them, but soon they accustomed to keep these rules.
We think the practice was useful for us, because we mastered a lot of new methods for working with children. Now we know how to help children adapt for school.
