Curriculum • Repeat Policy – The presence of a qualified radiographer during the repeat Curriculum • Repeat Policy – The presence of a qualified radiographer during the repeat of an unsatisfactory image assures patient safety and proper educational practices. A qualified radiographer must be physically present during the conduct of a repeat image and must approve the student’s procedure prior to re-exposure. • Indirect/Direct Policy – Students must be under direct supervision while achieving competence. Direct supervision is defined as the registered radiographer must review the request for examination in relation to the student achievement, review the condition of patient in relationship to student’s knowledge, be present during the examination and review and approve the radiographs. Once competency has been achieved, the student will be under indirect supervision. Indirect supervision is defined as the radiographer must review, evaluate and approve procedure and is IMMEDIATELY available

She reports that she takes initiative and leads exams. She has been able to gain ortho experience on Wednesdays. STUDENT FEEDBACK: Kayla is confident with her overall clinical progress. She is looking forward to doing her senior presentation this week at school She wants to get into the OR and get more familiar with the Carm and cases. NEW GOALS: 1. Review Carm with supervisor until you are competent and can demonstrate that you are familiar with all movements and options. 2. Focus on completing remaining comps. If you have not completed by 11/2/13, simulate with supervisor and document on COE. 3. Review pedi chest criteria OVERALL IMPRESSION: We reviewed L-spine and Ribs today. Kayla is performing at a level appropriate for her level of education. She has completed 25 mandatory and 14 elective comps. Kayla continues to work toward clinical excellence.
