The curonian spit is located between the Baltic sea and the curonian creek. There are sea beach, seaside dune, big dune chine and coast in the spit.

Flora and fauna there are very interesting. There are a lot of different forests, but pine, birch and fir forests are the most common.

The unrepeatable dune landscape is a reason that flora there is very singular. Coastal Violet, Lyosel toadflax, Marshal Corispermum. These plants are the most popular on the spit, but there are a lot of other plants.

Fauna is very reach too. For example, there live marten, ermine, weasel and etc. There also a lot of cloven-footed animals, such as elk, roe deer, boar and lots of other animals.

There are also some unusual places that are very exciting. The dancing forest is one of these places. It’s a pine forests where trees are misshapen and this looks like they are “dancing”.

On curonian spit you also can visit the highest 42-metre dune in the whole Europe. From the top of the dune you can take great photos and get an unbelievable experience for yourself.

And of course tourists need to stay somewhere and there are a lot of hostels. Some of the are luxury and very comfortable.
