The British love their traditions and keep them carefully. Every year they celebrate different holidays and hold different festivals.
Holidays in Britain are funny and bright. The most favourite are Christmas Day and Halloween. British people celebrate St Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day and others.
All children in Britain like Halloween. They usually have fun that day. They dress up like witches, ghosts and monsters.
People usually decorate their houses with pumpkins flowers and arrange Halloween Parties. People decorate their houses with pumpkins and flowers. They usually arrange Haloween parties.
Christmas is a happy holiday for all people in Great Britain Streets, shops and buildings are decorated with colourful lights.
There is a big Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square
Children leave their stockings on their beds. At night Santa comes and puts presents into stockings
Easter usually celebrated in March in the UK. It is a great religious holiday. People visit their relatives and give each other chocolate rabbits and eggs
There are some unusual holidays in Great Britain like Guy Fawks’ Night. You can see a lot of fireworks in the streets that night.
British people like to take part in different festivals and competitions. For example, Beer Festival, Celtic Connections Festival or Flower Show
Some of them are really unusual. Cheese Rolling Competition is held in Britain every year. People roll cheese from the hill and follow after it.
The UK is famous for its customs and traditions. This country is worth visiting!
