The character of girl is based on the Marcus's Zuzak novel. Germany, beginning in 1939, the eve of World War II. Death is preparing to launch its toll. Nine year old Liesel moved to Munich to their adoptive parents and with their help learning to read. With each passing day it becomes reading a necessity of life, and Liesel begins to steal books - the only joy in her life. All she learns from them, helps her to understand the events around her. All this, in the end, emerge in her own life story.
The film haven't got a lot of special effects, but these few special effects were really amazing. However, actress is young, she played a part is very good. The screenplay was very interesting, because the story is told from the face of the angel of death. And we can see war the eyes of children.
In my opinion, these film is really good. This film made for teenagers. And in scenes we’ll not see a lot of violence, in spite of the fact that is war drama. In this film there is a friendship and love, fidelity and courage. Despite some negative responses of critics, this film has made upon me impression, and I will reconsider it many times.
