I like this book because it leads to discover happiness in the simple things of everyday life. Filippo Di Felice age 11 THE SECRET OF COURAGE Geronimo Stilton In a mysterious castle Geronimo Stilton lives incredible adventures to look for the secret of courage. I like this book because it is a very amusing and it is full of wonderful of adventures. Cristian Ardente age 13

PINOCCHIO C. Collodi Pinocchio is the story of a wooden puppet, that becomes a real boy after a lot of adventures. I prefer this book because there a lot of funny characters: The Cat and The Fox, The Fairy with deep blue hair, The Talking Cricket, and so on Alessandro Di Giacinto age 11 VALENTINA Angelo Petrosino Valentine is the story of a young girl who spend her holiday in Scotland, where she finds a treasure and a ghost . I like this book very much because it tells the adventures of a girl of my same age. Giada Di Egidio age 12

KING ARTUR AND THE MAGIC SWORD Ross W. Disney “King Artur and the magic sword” is the story of a young boy who succeeds to pull out a sword from a rock, so he will become the King of England: I like this story because is very fantastic and because I enjoyed very much also the film. Biagio di Vizio age 11 TREASURE ISLAND Stevenson “Treasure Island”is a story of pirates, the protagonist is a boy, Jim Hawkins, who finds the map of Captain Flint’s treasure and leaves on a ship to look for it . I like this story because it let me live a lot of fabulous adventures. Fioretta Fiorà age 13

THE CHILD OF THE SIXTH MOONY WITCHER This book is about a girl, Nina, who finds out to be an alchemist, as well as her granddad now died. She discovers his laboratory and his secret potions, and with the help of her friends, she is able to defeat darkness and to take back light and liberty to the world. My favourite book is ”Winnetou” by Karol May. I like it because it is interesting. I like it also because it is about Indians. I am interested in the history of Indians and their wars. My favourite character is Old Shatterhand. He is brave, smart and he is a friend of Winnetou. My favourite book is , , Tom in the land of kangaroos”. This book is written by a Polish writer, Alfred Szklarski. It is a story about Tom’s adventures in Australia. This book is very interesting. The main characters are Ann, Maryla, Diana, Mathew and Margaret Linde. I like this book because there a lot of beautiful adventures in it. I like this book because it is very, very wise. It is cool! My favourite book is “The secret diary of Adrian Mol”. I like it because it is funny and interesting. My favourite character is a young boy Adrian. He is a teenager. Great stories happen to him. He has got a crazy family and a dog. He doesn’t like going to school. He has got short brown hair and blue eyes. He is tall and thin. This diary is full of surprises and adventures. One of the best books I have ever read is “Harry Potter” by J. K. Rowling. It is a fantasy book. The story takes place in a town, next to a small lake, which is between mountains. There is a big castle with many grreat towers. Harry Potter lives with his friends: Hermiona and Ron. Ten years ago Lord Voldemort, a great magician killed Harry’s parents, Lily and James Potter. Voldemort cast a spell on Harry but the spell took back and hit him. . After this accident Harry had a scar like a lightning. Harry went to his only family: his uncle and his aunt. They weren’t magicians . They treated him in a very bad way. Some years later Hagrid, a big man from Hogwart took Harry to London where Harry saw magicians’ world for the first time. Then he went to Hogwart where he learned many interesting subjects like transmutation or the defence against the black magic. One day he and his friends, Ron and Hermiona learned about the secter of the philosophical stone. Hary decided to save it. He had to play a chess match, fly on the broom and drink magic water to go into fire. Then he started his first fight with Lord Voldemort. Harry won and saved the philosophical stone. ‘MY FAVOURITE BOOK’ OPINIONS OF STUDENTS FROM SCOALA CU CLS. I-VIII SATU NOU ROMANIA

I like Tales, stories and memories by Ion Creanga because there are many stories very nice and funny. The main character is Nica, a smart and nasty boy, who goes to the school, to the church school, to the Ozana river near his house and to his aunt’s house. There are many amusing episodes with the scab and Irinuca's goats. I like Creanga’s book very much and all the children love his works, especially his tales: The Bear Who Lost His Tail, The Mother with Three Daughters-in-Law, The Purse with Two Coppers, The Goat with Her Three Kids, The Tale of Harap-Alb etc. In the tale The Bear Who Lost His Tail there is about a hungry bear who meets a fox. The fox lies to him and finally, because of his naitivity, the bear comes back home without his beautiful long bushy tail. Ingrid Dohanica, 13 years old, Romania

My favorite book is Olimp’s Legend written by a Romanian writer Alexandru Mitu. I like it because it is interesting. I also like it because I am interested by the Gods’ history. My favorite character is Heracle. He is brave, clever and I would like all my friends to be like him. Larisa-Mihaela Anastasiei, 13 years old, Romania My favorite book is Jungle book. This book is my favorite, because it is a very funny, very scholastic one. I like this book, Bullerbyn, because it is about six children who are doing a lot of funny things. I like this book because there a lot of beautiful adventures in it. Caty Tataru, 12 old years, Romania My favorite book is Nobody's Boy. There is about the travels of the young orphan Remi, who is sold to the streetmusician Vitalis at age 10. I like this story because it has a happy ending: Remi finds his family, and discovers he is the heir of a fortune. Cristina is sent for from Italy and they all grow up together. Arthur gets well and becomes an athlete. Mattia becomes a famous violinist. Remi marries Lise and they have a son named Mattia, whose babysitter is Mother Barberin. I love Anderson’s stories because they make people laugh. Anderson wrote as many as 350 stories. His books are read all over the world. Here are 5 of his many stories: The Ugly Ducking, The Emperor’s new clothes, The Little Mermaid, Thumbelina, The Red Shoes. One of his most interesting book's is It is The emperor’s new clothes about a king who is very vain, and two people teach him a lesson. This story is a reflection of his life. Ilie-Stefan Amariucai, 13 years old, Romania Pinocchio is a puppet, but dreams of becoming a real boy. He was created of a piece of pine by a woodcarver named Geppetto. This marionette will dance, fence, and turn somersaults. He is a nauthy boy who don’t like to be corrected by those who know more than him. Pinocchio finally ceases to be a marionette and becomes a boy. Andrei Marcu, 12 years old, Romania

In The Fables there are funny events about animals that do human actions. There are educative fables and they are easy to memorise.
