“THE BEAUTIFUL NAMES OF ALMIGHTY ALLAH” It is narrated in the Hadith that the Holy Prophet A said: There are 99 names of Almighty Allah (F) with which we have been commanded to address our supplications to Him. He who commits them to memory and rehearses them regularly will enter Paradise. The Method of Rehearsing These Beautiful Names… When you wish to rehearse these Beautiful Names commence from “Hu-Allah-al-lazi-La-Ila-ha-Illah-hu-Ar. Rahman-ur-Rahim…” and go on rehearsing till the end. Pronounce the diacritical sign “ u ” at the last letter of every Name and join it with the next ones But do not join the letter at which you stop to take your breath. In this case, commence the next name with “AL”. Also, when you rehearse only one of these Names, begin with the word “YA”. E. g. pronounce “Rahman” as “Ya-Rahman” and so on so forth with the other Names.
FP ALLAH This is Allah’s proper name on which depends the existence and welfare of the entire universe. He who repeats this Name at least 1000 times, his heart will be free from the doubts and suspicions. If a man suffering from some disease repeats this Name many times, then prays to Allah for recovery, he will recover from the disease, by the grace of Allah.
AR-RAHMAN He who gives blessings and prosperity to all beings without showing disparity. He who repeats this Name at least 100 times after each farz [obligatory] prayer will have good memory. A keen awareness, and be free of heavy heart.
AR-RAHIM He who gives blessings and prosperity, particularly to those who use this gifts as Allah has said, and is merciful to the believers in the hereafter. He who repeats this Name at least 100 times after each Fajr (early morning) prayer will find everyone to be friendly towards him and he will be safe from all worldly calamities.
AL-MALIK The Sovereign Lord He who is the absolute king of the entire universe. He who repeats this Name many times every day after the Fajr (morning prayer), will become rich by the grace of Allah.
AL-QUDDUS The Holy He who is free from all error, absentmindedness, is free from incapability and from any kind of defect. The hearts of those who repeat this Name 100 times each day will be free from anxiety.
AS-SALAM The Source of Peace He who frees his servants from all danger and obstruction. He who gives His greeting to those fortunate people in heaven. He who repeats this Name 160 times to a sick person, will help him to regain health. He who repeats this Name frequently will be safe from all calamities.
Al-MU`MIN The Guardian of Faith He who places faith in the heart of his servants, protects those who seek refugee in Him, and gives tranquility. He who repeats this Name 631 times will be safe from harm.
AL-MUHAYMIN The Protector He who watches over and protect all things. He who takes bath and offer two rak’ats of prayer and repeats this name 100 times with sincere concentration, Allah will purify his external as well as internal conditions.
AL-`AZIZ The Mighty The Unconquerable. He who repeats this Name 41 after each Fajr (morning prayers) will be independent of need from others and gain honor after disgrace.
AL-JABBAR The Compeller He who repairs all broken things, who completes that which is incomplete, and who has the ability, with force, to make people do whatever He wants. He who repeats this Name will not be compelled to do anything against his wishes, and will not be exposed to violence, severity, or hardness.
AL-MUTAKABBIR The Majestic He who shows His greatness in all things and in all ways. He who repeats this Name frequently will be granted status and respect. If he repeats this Name frequently at the commencement of every act, he will achieve success by the grace of Allah.
AL-KHALIQ The Creator He who creates everything from nothing and creates all things with the knowledge of what will happen to them. He who repeats this Name 100 times for seven days without break, Allah will create an angel whose duty will be to act righteously for this person until the day of judgment. AL-MUSAWWIR The Fashioner He who designs all things. If a woman desires to give a birth, but cannot, fasts seven days, and each day at the breaking of the fast [iftar] she repeats these three Names (Ya-Khaliq, Ya-Bari, Ya. Musawwir) twenty-one times, breathes into a glass of waterand then breaks the fast with this water, Allah will bless her with a child. (Insha. Allah)
AL-GHAFFAR The Forgiver He who is all forgiving. He who repeats this Name will be forgiven his sins.
AL-QAHHAR The Subduer He who is victorious and dominant in a way that He can do anything He wills. The soul of him who repeats this Name will conquer the desires of flesh, and his heart will be made free from the attractions of the world and gain inner peace. This Name also frees one from being wronged.
AL-WAHHAB The Bestower He who donates all blessings to His creatures. If a man suffering from poverty and starvation repeats this Name frequently or keeps it with him written on a piece of paper or repeats this Name 40 times in the last Sajda of the Chasht prayer, Allah will relieve him of his poverty, want and starvation in a wonderful way. AR-RAZZAQ The Provider He who provides all things beneficial to His creatures. He who repeats this Name will be provided with sustenance by Allah. (Insha. Allah).
AL-FATTAH The Opener He who opens the solution to all problems, and eliminates obstacles. The heart of him who repeats this Name will be open, and he will be given victory. (Insha. Allah)
AL-ALI’M The All-Knowing He who is all-knowing. He who repeats this Name, his heart will become luminous, revealing divine light [Nur].
AL-QABID` The Constrictor He who constricts. He who writes this Name this on 4 pieces of food (fruit, bread, etc. ) and eats them for 40 days will be free from hunger.
AL-BASIT The Expander He who is the expander. He who repeats this Name 10 times after the Chasht prayer with open hands (palms up), then rubs his face with his hands, will be free of needs from others.
AL-KHAFID` The Abaser He who diminishes or decreases. Those who fast three days, and on the fourth day repeat this Name 70 times in a gathering. Allah will free them from harm by their enemy. Allah will fulfill the need of one who repeats this Name 500 times daily.
AR-RAFI` The Exalter He who uplifts. He who repeats this Name 101 times day and night. Allah will make him higher, as far as honor, richness, and merit and concerned.
AL-MU`IZZ The Honorer He who makes one glorious, gives dignity, and treats one with respect. He who repeats this Name 140 times after Maghrib prayer on Monday or Friday nights, Allah will make him dignified in the eyes of others. The person will fear no one but Allah. (Al-Hamdu. Lillah)
AL-MUZILL The Dishonorer He who lowers and puts one in abasement and degradation. He who repeats this Name 75 times will be free from harm by those who are jealous of him and wish to harm him. Allah will protect him.
AS-SAMI` The All-Hearing He who hears everything. He who repeats this Name 500, 100 or 50 times without speaking to anyone on Thursdays after Chasht prayer, Allah will bestow on him anything he desires (Insha. Allah)
AL-BASI’R The All-Seeing He who sees everything. He who repeats this Name 100 times after Friday afternoon prayer (Jumma prayer), Allah will give this person light in his sight and enlighten his heart.
AL-HAKAM The Judge He who judges and provides what is due. He who repeats this Name many times at night, many secrets [sirr] will be revealed to him.
AL-`ADL The Just One… On Friday night or day, if you write this name on a piece of bread and eat it people will obey you.
AL-LATIF The Subtle One He who knows the delicate meanings of everything. He who creates things most subtly, which cannot be understood by people, and He who gives blessings to people in the most subtle way… He who repeats this Name 133 times daily will have increase in his sustenance and all his affairs will be settled to his satisfaction.
AL-KHABIR The AWARE He who has knowledge of the most secret parts of everything, and knows their inner meanings. If a man is a victim of selfish desires and bad habits he will be relieved of these if he repeats this Name regularly.
AL-HALIM The Forbearing One He who is Clement (Merciful) He who writes this Name on a piece of paper, washes it with water and sprinkles that water on anything, that thing will become safe from loss and calamities. (Insha. Allah)
AL-`AZI’M The Great One He who is magnificent. Those who repeat this Name many times will be respected.
AL-GHAFU`R The All-Forgiving He who forgives all. He who has a headache, fever, and is despondent and continuously repeats this Name, will be relieved of his ailment and will have Allah’s forgiveness.
ASH-SHAKU`R The Appreciative He who is grateful and gives rewards for deeds done for Him. He who is afflicted with monitory troubles or with any other calamity and suffering, will find relief from these, if he repeats this Name 41 times daily.
AL-`ALI’ The Most High He who is the most high. He who repeats this Name regularly and keeps it with him after writing it on a piece of paper will attain high rank, affluence and success in his (lawful) desires.
AL-KABI`R The Most Great He who is the most great. He who repeats this Name 100 times each day will have esteem.
AL-HAFEEZ The Preserver He who preserves all things in detail, and for a time preserves them from misfortune and calamity. He who repeats this Name frequently and keeps it with him will be protected against calamities.
AL-MUQEET The Maintainer He who sustains. If someone with a bad-mannered child repeats this Name into a glass of water, and gives this water to the child to drink, the child will have good manners.
AL-HASEEB The Reckoner He who knows in detail the account of things people do throughout their lives If one feels afraid of anything, he should repeat the words “Hasbi-Allahul-Haseeb” 70 times morning and evening daily for 8 days commencing from Thursday; he will be relieved of all fear and worries.
AL-JALIL The Sublime One He who has wealth, domination and holiness. He who writes this Name on a piece of paper with musk and saffron and keeps it with him and repeats this Name frequently will attain honor and status. (Subhan. Allah)
AL-KARIM The Generous One He who is generous. He who repeats this Name many times at bedtime will have esteem in this world (and the Hereafter) among the learned and righteous people.
AL-RAQI`B The Watchful He who observes all creatures, and every action is under His control. He who repeats this Name seven times on himself, his family and property, all will be under Allah’s protection.
AL-MUJI`B The Responsive The One who responds to every need. The appeal of him who repeats this Name will be answered.
AL-WASI` The All-Embracing He who has limitless capacity and abundance. If one who has difficulty in earning, repeats this Name frequently, will have good earnings.
AL-HAKIM The Wise He who has wisdom in all orders and actions. He who repeats this Name continuously (from time to time) will not have difficulties in his work, and Allah will open to him the door of wisdom.
AL-WADU`D The Loving He who loves those who do good and bestows on them His compassion. He who is the only one who should be loved and whose friendship is to be earned. If there is a quarrel between two people (e. g. wife and husband) and one of them repeats this Name 1000 times over some food and has the other person to eat the food, there will be no disagreement between them.
AL-MAJEED The Most Glorious One He who is the most glorious. He who repeats this Name gains glory.
AL-BA~`ITH The Resurrector He who gives life to all creatures on the judgment day. He who repeats this Name gains the fear of Allah.
ASH-SHAHEED The Witness He who is present everywhere and observes all things. He who has disobedient children or wife and repeats this Name in the morning over them 21 times daily with his hand placed on his/her forehead, he/she will become obedient.
AL-HAQQ The Truth He whose existence has no change. If one has lost something and repeats this Name, he will find what is lost.
AL-WAKEEL The Trustee He who provides a means to solve all problems in the best way. He who is afraid of drowning, being burnt in a fire, or any similar danger, and repeats this Name continuously [from time to time], will be under the protection of Allah.
AL-QAWI` The Most Strong Ya – Qawi` He who cannot defeat his enemy, and repeats this Name with the intention of not being harmed, will be free from his enemy’s harm.
AL-MATEEN The Firm One If one has troubles and repeat this Name, his troubles will disappear.
AL-WALI` The Protecting Friend He who is the Friend of His righteous servants. He who repeats this Name is likely to be a waliullah, the friend of Allah.
AL-HAMEED The Praiseworthy He who is the only one to be praised and glorified and thanked by all creatures. He who repeats this Name will be loved and praised.

AL-MUEED The Restorer He who restores all beings. If this Name is repeated 70 times for someone who is away from his family, that person will return safely in seven days.
AL-MUHYI~ The Giver of Life He who gives life and health. If a person have a heavy burden and repeats this Name seven times each day, his burden will be taken away.
AL-MUMI`T The Creator of Death He who creates death. This Name is repeated to destroy one’s enemy.
AL-HAYY The Alive He is all-knowing and His strength is sufficient for everything. He who repeats this Name will have long life.
AL-QAYYUM The Self-Subsisting He who holds the entire universe. He who repeats this Name will not fall into inadvertency.

AR-RASHEED The Guide To The Right Path He who is the guide, with wisdom, to the right path according to His eternal plan. He who repeats this Name 1000 times between early evening prayer [Maghrib] and night prayer [Isha], his troubles will be cleared up.
AS-SABUR The Patient Ya - Sabur. He who is any trouble, difficulty or sorrow and repeats this Name 3000 times, will be rescued from his difficulty.
