The Memorial monument to the soldiers – «Eternal glory» . It is established on the place of an one- storeyed wooden building of Syktyvkar military registration and enlistment office, whence townspeople left to the Great Patriotic War. The first special theatrical building in the city - the Opera and Ballet theatre is constructed in 1969 upon the project of Turchaninova A. D. The theatre facade decorates a frieze from stamping metal, in the centre of which a bas- relief «Shondibanoi» - «Sunfaced» is situated (the sculptor is R. Rohin). The monument to the founder of the Komi literature - Ivan Alekseevich Kuratov. Authors of the monument are the sculptor - V. Mamchenko, the architect - V. Edelgaus.
