Sustainability at UCSB Challenges Ahead • Some buildings might not ever meet the energy and water prerequisites – Campus has a variety of building types, Energy Star does not cover them all, utilizing Alternative Compliance Path option • Working with building occupants consistently- 25 building, not as much hands on time • Adding QC/QA plans to all credits after initial review by USGBC • Some buildings are better than others- building performance and occupant motivation varies
